Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl
- Public libraries — obviously -- this is where I get most of my books!
- my fellow bloggers: especially Cleo & Ruth and Karen — These were the blogs I was reading before I decided to start my own blog, so thanks for the inspiration
- The Classics Club — I recently joined, and I hope to get to know more bloggers through the club!
- That Artsy Reader Girl for hosting Top Ten Tuesday
- Project Gutenberg — a great resource
- All my wonderful GoodReads friends
- All my GoodReads groups; I’m probably in too many of these, but they’re a great outlet for discussions!
- The Silmarillion Primer @ Tor, by Jeff LaSala — “A guide for new readers” but well worth reading whether you’re new to the book or not. I just posted about this, but it’s great. It’s not the first time they’ve done a series on one of my favorite books, just the most recent. (In the past, they’ve covered LotR, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, and the works of Neil Gaiman).
- Readathons — I’ve done Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon a few times and participated in the GoodReads group, and I had a great time doing it. I missed the last one, though. I’ve also done the Bout of Books week-long readathon 3 times, and I will probably sign up for the next one, which is in January.
- The Poetry Foundation - Earlier this month I spent some time exploring their very comphrensive page on the poetry of World War I. The whole website is a great resource, though.
Good list! I should've thought to add the Classics Club -- they're a great motivator!
